You can’t build a skyscraper without reinforcing the base. Whether you’re working on getting leaner, stronger, faster, or more flexible, strength and stability will help get you there. Today we’re thrilled to launch two brand-new and fantastic workouts we carefully crafted to help solidify your foundation and get you to your goals.

Did we say “fantastic”? More like Legtastic – our latest butt-kicking Freestyle session (that includes butt kicks) from FitStar Personal Trainer. Legtastic pushes you to get a leg-up on your foundational fitness; you might start and finish the sweat sesh with alternating knee raises, but don’t expect a slow and steady workout. This 25-minute session is all high-intensity, all the time. In fact, you’ll only be on the ground once for floor bridges, so enjoy that respite, then get back on your feet. From jumping jacks to low jacks, those aforementioned butt kicks to burpees, try to keep your energy high and your stature strong. Focus on your form when you tackle a set of single leg deadlifts and challenge yourself with a series of one-leg wall squat holds. If you’d like to skip the actual butt kicks, but still want to build strength, head over to FitStar Yoga and check out Strong & Stable. Perfect for beginners and experienced yogis alike, our latest Freestyle session will reinforce your fitness by engaging your quads, glutes, calves, and core. In just 37 minutes, Strong & Stable takes you through a lower-body-focused sequence, starting with a series of seated poses. Stretch through the seated twist, easy cross-legged forward bend, butterfly, and seated pigeon as you warm up your muscles. Release your spine and hamstrings as you move from all fours and cat & cows to down dog; then a series of lunging poses with longer holds do double duty building leg muscles while honing your balance. Stand tall in warrior 2 then bend forward into triangle before challenging your stability with half moon – be sure to keep that back leg parallel to the ground as you shift forward.
